Belligerent Poetry

what i did

kinda in that middle boat
feel like i did what i wanted to do
now why do i feel
like i let someone down
that i cared so much about?

i don't know
i'd hoped for release
all i feel is pent-up grief
and here
at the onset of sleep
i hope still for a little
quiet & peace.
