Belligerent Poetry

stored in

there
is so much stored in our brains
that we're almost unaware of
so when a song shocks me back to
a place i'd forget if i had a choice
just remember that's in my brain
instead of 12th grade math
because one has an emotional tie and one
i can barely recall agreeing to attend

so when someone asks you
why are you so bad at somethings
remember to reply
why?
well, i try, but all these
important details of my life keep
knocking my brains to hell,
tracking it down, tying me into
a cycle of moments
forgotten
triggered by song
and remembered.
