Belligerent Poetry

no matter

i always assumed the burden was on us
because we're the ones in control.
i realize slowly
that this isn't true
at all.
because jgirls are risking themselves,
continually injured
on western cynicism, sarcasm, and arrogance.
always coming back for more
unaware that it wasn't one bad guy,
we really are all born like that.
which breaks us,
because no matter how
soft i think i'm being
she still can't see me clearly.
