Belligerent Poetry

hello from

the top of the world
drinking a beer
because i can
because,
being able to walk
i'm capable of reaching
for hundreds of miles
a skychair
up too high to make out where
i came from
an old emperor's palace
i understand why
he chose it - an incredible view
and difficult for courtiers
to bother you
as, with no skychair
they'd have to climb a mountain
just to get here.
